The inspiral positions are reconstructed from r(t) and the dominant-mode orbital phase φorb≈φGW/2. The strong-field merger path is a phenomenological visualization tied to the IMR bridge, not a numerical-relativity coordinate trajectory.

Reference Waveform Validation

Import a real LALSuite / PyCBC waveform and compute a PSD-weighted match maximized over time and phase.
NO REFERENCE LOADED
Reference agreement
—
load CSV to validate
Aligned waveform comparison peak-centered · time-aligned · amplitude-scaled for display
Aligned residual model − scaled reference
Expected CSV columns: t_s,hplus,hcross. Alternate names time/t, hp/h_plus and hc/h_cross are accepted. Comment metadata lines beginning with # are optional. Use the included Python generator for an actual LALSuite/PyCBC reference.
Interpretation: Match is a normalized frequency-domain overlap maximized over relative time and phase. Mismatch = 1 − match. A high match is evidence of waveform agreement only for the chosen parameters, frequency band and PSD; it is not a universal accuracy score for the model.

Automated Multi-Model Validation Matrix

Load a batch of real LALSuite/PyCBC reference CSVs. The local IMR core is rebuilt for each file's metadata, then validated case-by-case with the same PSD-weighted match engine.

Interpretation: the matrix summarizes agreement only over the imported parameter grid, PSD, and frequency band. Mean/best/worst values are validation statistics for that grid, not a universal model-accuracy claim.

Detector Network & Observability Laboratory

Project h+ and h× into H1, L1, Virgo V1 and KAGRA K1 using LALSuite detector geometry; compute arrival delays, design-PSD SNR, quadrature network SNR and a same-geometry reach proxy.

*Distance at ρ=8 rescales the current luminosity distance while holding masses, inclination, sky location and polarization fixed; it is not the all-sky horizon distance. Network SNR is the quadrature sum √Σρ² and assumes independent detector noise. H1/L1 use an aLIGO design analytic PSD fit; V1 and K1 use analytic LALSimulation AdvVirgo/KAGRA design fits. Detector geometry is embedded from LALSuite constants. SNR values inherit the approximations of this local semi-analytic waveform; use the V3 reference-validation workflow for quantitative comparison against LALSuite/PyCBC waveforms.

Real Event Laboratory · GW150914

Load the public H1/L1 strain around the first confirmed binary-black-hole detection, whiten it with a locally estimated PSD, apply a 35–350 Hz display band, measure the inter-site lag, and compare morphology with the official GWOSC numerical-relativity teaching template.

About the Simulation
